Happy NINE Month ... Seventh and Eighth Month too!

My sweet little guy ...
Baby Blake,

I'm sorry that I missed my two months of chances to write you
and update on how much you have grown up.
It is so bittersweet - it's SO hard to believe that you are nine month.
You are growing up right before my very eyes.
Before I know it, both you and Sophie won't want to cuddle or
worst, be with your daddy and I ... I'll be an embarrassment to you.
But I must stop, I'm getting ahead of myself and if I think like that,
I might be apt to cry ... I am a crier.

In the past few months, since my last note,
you've grown up so much!
You're no longer my little guy ...
you are filling out ... seems like you're less like a baby now,
if that makes any sense.

When my friends told me before you were born that boys love their mommas
and all indications show that that is true of you.
You love to cuddle up and just hug me.
It is one of the most special moments that I hold so dear in my heart.
It's funny because when others hold you, you keep you'll usually keep
your eyes firmly on wherever I am - whether it is next to you or across the room.
I can never get too far away or else you will definitely
let me know that you aren't happy that I've gone.

You've got the best smile.
It lights up your face ...
even your eyes smile.
It might just be your very best feature.
And I love it!

You've been struggling with eczema just about your entire life.
Your skin can go from white to rashy red ... in an instant.
We feel so sad for you ...
But every night, we rub lots and lots of cream on you ...
in hopes that you won't wake up rashy.

Sophie still adores you ...
and you adore her right back.
She's not as willing to share what were her toys
and I'm constantly tell her to "Give it back Sophie!!!".
You try to be good about it but usually end up crying.
That's why you should grow up big and strong, not too quickly of course,
so you can (gently) fight back.
Remember, you love your sister no matter what!

You've started to combat crawl ...
and you're getting fast.
I'm constantly trying to keep one step ahead of you,
to make sure that you aren't getting yourself into trouble
because everything, and I mean everything, goes into your mouth.

As far as your day-to-day ...
you're usually awake between 6-6:45am.
Your morning naps happen on the way to drop Sophie off at school
at 8:30am ... and you might wake up at drop off or if I'm lucky ... not.
You wake usually as we're arriving home so we get some
very special time together while Sophie is at school.
Then, you'll usually nap on the way to get Sophie
and one last time ... between 2-4pm, depending on how long
your previous nap was.

You're usually pretty cheerful
all the time ... and the time that you are unhappy
is when I have to put you down.
Your sister was the same way at your age.
I'm trying to appreciate how much you like
your mommy holding you.

I love you Blakey-boo.
I love you to the moon and back ...
Forever and always I'll love you.

Always yours ... forever and always,
Mommy
